Amina’s parents are Hindus from the Northern region of India and were not allowed to take dance classes growing up although they wanted to. They lived through their daughter by enrolling her in dance classes since the age of 3. Each parent took their daughter to dance classes of their own choice. She grew to love dancing so much that she dreamed of starting a dance school. She used her name “Amina” which means “Honesty”. Amina has studied Classical Indian Dance, Flamenco, Middle Eastern Belly Dance, Tap, Hip-Hop, Hula, Tahitian, Swing, and Salsa.

She has performed at the Kennedy Center, Cultural Fairs, Nursing homes,
and Parades. She has danced Hip-hop~Indian Dance Fusion in an upcoming (and yet untitled) South Indian movie as a lead dancer. Amina performed belly dance in the movie Terror in the Pharaohs Tomb as the role of Nadjia, an Egyptian character who is the wife of one of the main characters. She danced in the music video for the group "Smokers Only" and also performed at the Bhangra Blowout Afterparty hosted by Bollywood Tonight and shown on Image-in-Asian TV. She has been teaching since she was a teen as a volunteer and has been professionally teaching for 3 years.

Amina is a writer, artist, dance performer, teacher, and choreographer. She thought up the idea for Hip-Hop for NightClub Dancing Class. Amina is also the creator of her own style of Belly~Indian~Hip-Hop Fusion Dance and has in the past had a few dance performance troupes and currently does solo performances of Belly and Indian Dance fusion at parties and events.

She is a College Graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a double degree in Human Computer Interaction and Creative Writing as well as a double minor in communication design and multimedia authoring. In college she taught and took part in the University's performance group for 4 years.
