it is full. If you are unsure if there are spaces left feel

Are
all classes co-ed?
Yes. There are usually about half men and half women but
some semester there are more men than women and sometimes
more women than men.
Age?
No one under age 18 and anyone over that age. Be warned
that the average age is 20 to 40.
Level?
Beginners only, Adults only (no one under age 18)
What
is the class schedule? Please see the classes
page
Are
there any discounts? Yes, there are a lot. Check
out the discounts
portion of the classes page.
Can
I stop by class sometime and watch? Sorry, we can't
do that! Watching class makes the students feel uncomfortable
since it is a small class of all beginners. However you
are welcome to check out the class
videos to see if the class is right for you.
Are
there drop ins? No there are no drop ins this is
a full 6 week session with make-ups. Drop ins disrupt the
class flow and don't allow the whole class to get to know
each other and progress and improve as a whole.
Price?
$150 for 6 classes -- 9 hours total -- 1.5 hours per class
-- comes to @$16.66/hr with make-ups
Make-Up
Classes?
You can make up on Tues., Wed., or Thurs. always 7:30 to
9pm in your same semester. If you don't finish this semester
we can talk about making up into the following semester
or transferring your whole class to the next session.
Limit?
12 student limit per class, 3 nights to choose from -- see
the classes
page for the schedule
What
to Wear:
Wear a shirt that is somewhat form fitting like an undershirt
or a tank top so we can more easily see and correct your
movements. Wear pants that are comfortable to move and stretch
in. Track pants, yoga pants, or sweat pants are good. Jeans
or office pants can be cumbersome. It is better to change
before you arrive if you can because there is only one bathroom,
and it is a co-ed class.
Shoes
Suggestions:
No high heels and no shoes that leave black scuff marks
on the floor! For the hip hop or fusion class we suggest
jazz shoes, sneakers, bare foot, or even ballet slippers
to keep your feet from sticking to the floor. Sandra and
Amina (the two teachers) tend to go bare foot but it depends
on personal preference.
What
to bring:
$1.50 or $2.00 in quarters for parking or park
at the free lots whose addresses are on the directions
page. Also bring water with you! There are no fountains
or bottles of water available at the studio.
Class
Policies:
Because of the class limit, giving a refund means that someone
else who wanted to take the class could not because you
took a spot out of 12. Therefore there is a no-refund policy.
However there are make-up classes available and classes
can be transferred to the following semester. For more info
on class policies click here.
